    The best advice I ever got from a seasoned player was "pratice how you play". This was the point Jeremy was trying to make.

    QUESTION: APA NATIONAL CAN'T GIVE A STRAIGHT ANSWER. Foul or not Foul. Opponent: has used his one time out during the rack. ME: I am on the 8 ball and mark the pocket. correctly but miss. Opponent: another teammate runs to the table and marks the 8 ball pocket for him to shoot. Rule is only one coach allowed at the table for a time out? Opponent has no more timeouts. Used it earlier in the game. Teammate marked the pocket for his player to shoot. While i can find no rule that says the PLAYER has to mark the pocket, the rule says: if a player does not mark the pocket it is a ball in hand. If a player has used his timeout, Then the foul occurred when 1) another player marked the pocket, 2) another player went to the table without a timeout, 3) the player did not mark the pocket.

    I've just looked through the comments and I feel sorry for all those who must have a label. The front hand is not moved so it's not FHE. The back hand is not moved so it's not BHE. And there's no parallel shift involved either! Dear me, what will the poor label seekers do?

    Their strokes are atrocious for Masters players. Not that they aren’t great shot makers and have a lot of experience in terms of shot selection, but I would’ve expected to see some more “beautiful” pool here

    This is 100% clearly a defensive shot based on the amount of power used. Unless the shooter says he gooded and just didn't put the force needed, I'm marking defense all day.

    Big Shaka from Hawaii birth of the Shaka and congratulations to you both Charlie and Ron. Awesome and exciting match you both played, Ron you almost won the tournament. Sometime people watch me play and at times find themselves wandering why I took a shot instead of the one that might make sense to them (as an able body) player. I sometime have to go with a shot that works in my favor logistically than strategically as a wheelchair player. I've played able-body who played from a wheelchair but I explained it's close but not a true realistic experience bcs he was able to shoot a difficult mass'e shot from the wheelchair with back and front muscle control allowing for body balance control little over 17" -- 18" from the rail pocketing a ball. The player confessed that he realized that he took advantage not realizing realistically it would be difficult for most true paraplegic players to achieve a mass'e shot that far out on the table. If a paraplegic player was tall enough and had long arms and with endurance he might've be able to achieve a quality mass'e shot. It's truly not a complaint just an observation and friendly testimony the able body wc player made to me at the end of our match back in 1987.

    • @phillipschuman4307
      @phillipschuman4307 27 днів тому

      @@zanethind Only rich compared to pool players. Not super rich at all though. Yes, he recently passed Efren for career purse winnings. But that's only about $2 to $3 million (spread over Shane's approx. 17 year career). And all those tournament wins (and those he didn't win) cost him a chunk of money each time, between the entry fee, the travel, lodging and food. When Shane leads the annual earnings list, it's about $200k (not deducting all the expenses). That just isn't super rich territory whatsoever. CueTec pays him to endorse their cues as well, and he owns a pool hall too, but it just doesn't add up to really big money.

    Somebody out there watching this...ANYBODY (!!!), correct me if I missed something... ...did either guy even run 3 straight balls? There were clear open cuts and safety ruled, instead. Probably nerves. I have a lot of bullets in my cue and I pull the trigger, but that's my style. It's what I'm comfortable with AND WHAT GETS RESULTS.
